PWDs Foundation handed over a house to PWDs in Mondulkiri


Mondulkiri – On December 29, 2023, the PWDs Foundation handed over a 4 x 6 meter house, constructed with bricks and a zinc roof, to Bun Soknhim, a 35-year-old woman with disability in her right leg since birth. She resides with her six-member family in O’Am village, Sre Khtom commune, Keo Seima district, Mondulkiri province.

The handover ceremony, held on December 27, 2023, was officiated by Mr. Huth Ponleu, Deputy Director of the PWDs Foundation, representing H.E Khom Phalloeun, the Royal Government’s Delegate in charge of the PWDs Foundation. The event also saw the presence of the Director of the Provincial Department of Social Affairs, Sre Khtom Commune Council, O’Am Village Chief, Representatives of UYFC, and local authorities.

Addressing the audience, Mr. Huth Ponleu highlighted that the construction of this house, funded with 20,000,000 KHR, involved contributions from the PWDs Foundation’s donation box placed in various public locations, along with the financial support of the Royal Government of Cambodia. He extended best wishes on behalf of the Director of the PWDs Foundation, hoping for prosperity and good health for the new occupants of the provided residence.

As part of the ceremony, the PWDs Foundation presented a gift package containing 25 kg of rice, 1 box of instant noodles, 1 package of fish sauce, 1 package of soy sauce, 2 packages of canned fish, 2 bags of salt, and 100,000 KHR to the family to facilitate their daily life.
