Phnom Penh: On Wednesday, September 20, 2023 – H.E. Chea Somethy, the Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, was in attendance at the Peace Palace for the Plenary Meeting of the Council of Ministers. This meeting was presided over by Prime Minister Hun Manet of Cambodia.

The agenda of the meeting covered the following key topics:

1. An assessment of Cambodia’s macroeconomic situation and public finances, along with the presentation of essential policy directions.
2. The presentation of the Draft National Strategy on Informal Economic Development for the period 2023 to 2028.
3. A progress report on the implementation status of the mechanism aimed at executing the six priority policy programs of the 7th Legislature’s Royal Government, with the goal of implementing them before the end of 2023.
4. The discussion of the Draft Law concerning the establishment of the Secretariat of State for Civil Aviation.
5. The examination of the Draft Royal Decree pertaining to the Organization and Functioning of the Public Administration Reform Committee.
6. Reviewing the Draft Sub-Decree outlining the Organization and Functioning of the Ministry of Public Function.
7. Lastly, addressing any other pertinent issues.
