Phnom Penh – Over the weekend of October 21-22, 2023, a heartwarming gesture unfolded as Samdech Bun Rany Hun Sen, the President of the Cambodian Red Cross, extended her benevolent hand to aid families affected by the floods along the Prek Tnaot Stream, spanning Dangkor and Kambol Districts in Phnom Penh. In an act of kindness, Her Excellency Men Neary Sopheak, the First Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodian Red Cross, paid a visit to these flood-affected families and personally delivered essential relief to 2,263 households. The invaluable donations included provisions such as 25 kg of rice, 1 package of noodles, 1 package of bottled water, 1 package of fermented fish, 1 package of fish sauce, and a kit comprising a sarong, mosquito net, blanket, krama, along with 30,000 Riels to assist those in need. This humane outreach brought solace and relief to the flood-stricken families in their time of hardship.
