Persons with Disabilities in Kep Province Receive Homes from the PWDs Fund

Kep – On November 20, 2023, H.E Khom Phalloeun, Delegate of the Royal Government of Cambodia overseeing the PWDs Fund, led the ceremony to hand over a 4x6m brick house with a Zinc roof to Hin Phini, a 42-year-old man born blind in both eyes. Hin Phini, along with his wife, two children, a sister, and an elderly father, now calls the house in O Dong village, Pong Teuk commune, Damnak Chang Eur district, Kep Province, his home.

The event, attended by Mr. Chhang Chhay, Governor of Damnak Chang Eur District, the Branch Manager of Kep Provincial PWDs Fund, Pong Teuk Commune Chief, and various local officials, marked the provision of the second house in Kep province by the National Social Action Fund (NSAF). The first house was built in 2022 in Leav village, Pong Teuk commune, Damnak Chang Eur district.

H.E Khom Phalloeun highlighted that this ceremony signifies the 44th house officially handed over since 2019 out of the 47 houses built by NSAF. NSAF remains committed to completing the remaining houses in the coming period.

In addition to the house, NSAF presented a package of donations to Hin Phini’s family, including 25 kg of rice, 1 case of instant noodles, 1 package of fish sauce, 1 package of soy sauce, 2 packages of canned fish, 2 bags of salt, and 100,000 Riels.
