Acting Minister of Social Affairs Attends Official Launch of National Strategy for Informal Economic Development 2023-2028


Phnom Penh: On the morning of October 10, 2023, H.E. Prak Sokyou, Acting Minister of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, accompanied by H.E. Taing Chungly, participated in the official launching ceremony of the National Strategy for Informal Economic Development 2023-2028. The ceremony saw the presence of approximately 600 attendees, including members of the Royal Government, representatives from embassies, provincial governors, and associations linked to the informal economy.

The grand event took place at the Sokha Phnom Penh Hotel and was conducted under the esteemed presence of His Excellency Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

The launch of the National Strategy for Informal Economic Development marks a significant step in Cambodia’s commitment to advancing its informal economy. The comprehensive strategy, covering the years 2023-2028, aims to address key aspects of informal economic activities, supporting their growth and sustainability. With the participation of a wide range of stakeholders, this initiative holds great promise for fostering economic development and prosperity in the country.
