Phnom Penh – On Tuesday morning, October 31, 2023, H.E Nheb Sopheap, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation, participated in a workshop on “Social Protection for Female Entertainment Workers” at the Phnom Penh Hotel, presided over by His Excellency Dr. Men Sam An, Personal Adviser to the King and President of the Cambodian Women For Peace and Development.

The workshop’s primary objectives were:

1. Presenting the results of the pre-project survey and the outcomes achieved during the past six months, addressing challenges, and offering recommendations for enhancing the provision and utilization of the social protection system for women working in the entertainment industry.
2. Strengthening collaboration with relevant partner institutions to facilitate women’s access to health equity fund certificates and quality healthcare services.

This workshop was organized by the Cambodian Women For Peace and Development in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund to Implement Reproductive Health and Rights Project.
